The story so far.....

Enter the powerful a capella lyrics of Kansas with “carry on my wayward son” followed by the gnashing guitar as the song enters full swing. I don’t know about you but that sent a shiver down my spine and had me hooked before the action even started. For those of you who are not Supernatural fans then you are probably wondering what the heck is he babbling about. So here is a short synopsis of the Supernatural story from the beginning without getting into too much detail….

There’s this happy little suburban home where are all a smiley, typical, ideal, picturesque American family resides and from our first impression everything looks calm and relaxed but we know from the series title that it aint gonna last too long. Mom is upstairs tucking in her young sons and Dad is downstairs watching some typical pre-bed bubblegum TV.

Enter Demon Man…..

In seconds, the atmosphere goes from quiet and serene to chaotic and insane as Demon Man tries to take her baby Mom is pinned to the ceiling and ignited like a campfire marshmallow while trying to protect her suckling. Dad rushes to the scene to rescue the distressed damsel but by then the house is ablaze and he knows that the best thing he can do is get his two young boys out of the house as quickly as possible. Out side the residual family looks on in horror as their cozy abode is frazzled to cinders with Mommy inside.

The Supernatural story then springs forward and the boys are now young men in their early twenties who learn that they are predestined to become Demon demolishers and that the devil will do his utmost best to stop them. So they must wander from state to state trying to find clues to point them in the direction of their evil fate….

Bloody Hell!

Bloody Hell!

That’s how I felt when I saw Supernatural Dean doing the dangling thingy…

Don’t get me wrong….I am a huge fan of the show but give me a break…Is that the best HELL the Supernatural team could come up with!?!

Hellraisers Pinhead and his fish hook chains meets the spider web scene from the original “Fly” movie.

“Help me….please….somebody help me….” lol

I was waiting for the giant spider.

Supernatural producers must be told that the shows fans aren’t mindless zombies and shouldn’t be treated as such. I feel that the HELL thing should have been a lot subtler.

Firstly, A little telepathic voice to Supernatural Sam with a little delay and compression would have been fine.

“Sam…” (That’s it!) Then have Sam say “Dean…?!?” …. END!

I felt betrayed and insulted that Supernatural team would mock the fans with such a scene.

If they had been more subtle they could have gradually introduced HELL and Dean slowly penetrating the veil between both worlds but the melodramatic Puppetmaster tripe fell on it’s face in my opinion.

Who knows…maybe the Supernatural director will surprise me and take the story on some zany unexpected tangent but regardless what they do I am still a fan of the strong characters and love the show.
